Chris Cuomo brought his NewsNation show to Detroit.
Charlie LeDuff showed him what the politicians don’t want to talk about.
From sky-high grocery bills and gas prices to a busted working class and politicians dodging accountability, Charlie takes Cuomo into the streets, shops and neighborhoods where the real election is being decided.
Forget the polls. Forget the campaign slogans. People are struggling to keep the heat on, pay the bills and figure out who, if anybody, is looking out for them.
Charlie also puts the tough questions to Michigan political leaders about a troubled juvenile detention facility — and why the people demanding your vote can’t always answer for their own record.
This is Detroit. This is Michigan. And the anger is real.
No BS. Just the truth from the people living it.
