TRANSCRIPT:
Welcome back to No Bullshit. I’m Charlie the Duff. Dr. Abdul El-Sayed is not a doctor.
Now, that’s not we saying this. This is the state of Michigan saying this. I’m Dr. Abdul El-Sayed, an actual doctor.
But even so, El-Sayed got paid like a doctor, still pretends to be a doctor, and breaks the law in doing so. I got to rebuild the health department in this city. El-Sayed wasn’t allowed to make medical decisions when he was named chief bureaucrat for the Detroit and Wayne County Health Departments.
Again, not a licensed doctor. I am a physician, epidemiologist, and progressive activist. So they had to hire two women who are actual doctors to babysit him.
And even though the two women made all the medical decisions, they got paid less than El-Sayed. Now, I thought that guy hated financial misogyny. It’s a man’s world.
Man’s world, baby. Oh, that’s not all. El-Sayed wasn’t even legally allowed to be the chief bureaucrat of the health departments because he didn’t have the professional experience.
Again, state law. But this is Wayne County, Michigan, and the law is optional for machine hacks like Dr. Phony El-Baloney. Took on the powerful, even the party bosses.
So what do we call him? A fake doctor? A paper doctor? An unlicensed physician? Well, whatever you call him, just know this. El-Sayed cannot make house calls. And that’s the way it is.
I’m Charlie LeDuff. No more bullshit. No more bullshit.
Is this the hole-in-one? It’s a hole-in-one, $50,000 if you hit it. Luke Nowacki, financial wealth management. What is 50 grand after tax? 37,750.
What about state tax? Yeah, I’m throwing both in there. What about sales tax? There’s no sales tax. Well, you’re buying the beer.
There’s income. You’re buying the beer. Eh, we rate that off.
Luke Nowacki, financial wealth management. 248-663-4748. Well, you know when it rains, the power goes out.
And when the power goes out, the internet goes out. When the internet goes out, I call my friend Matt and Bernie at XG Service Group. Look at Bernie here on his hands and knees, giving it everything he’s got.
Look at that man crack. So busy, he forgot to wear a belt. There’s Matt right there getting the board together.
That’s 734-245-4100. If you need Matt and Bernie to come take care of your voice over internet, your security cameras, off-campus access control, Wi-Fi and cameras for homes and business, they’ll design it for you. You got restaurants, they do drive-through systems, railroad cameras for public safety, total wireless camera systems for your home and business.
Yeah, that’s right. Call XG Services at 734-245-4100. State law.
Isn’t that interesting? You had to have three years of public health administration and didn’t have it. And hide behind a couple of women’s doctors. Certification.
Well, they pay him 200 grand a year. His last year, he made $279,000. And when he resigned to run for Senate, week later, the county gave him a consulting contract worth $72,000.
Well, in addition to that, they also gave him a retroactive unconstitutional bonus close to $40,000. You mean they gave him the Turkey Bullitt, Bob Fuccato severance package? They certainly did. That’s not legal.
That began the demise of Bob Fuccato. Absolutely. Wow.
Do I got to go back to the fucking county? Yes, you do. And park my ass in there again? Okay. Lazy jumper.
Do what you want. It’s America. There’s no better system.
I’m just trying to inform you and you do what you want. But again, forget all the nonsense about Gaza, Hezbollah, Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood and all this bullshit. I don’t know why he’s going on Fox News, but he can’t actually sit here in Wayne County because I’m focused on what happens here.
Absolutely. For real, the real governance, unconstitutional shit. Unconstitutional.
I mean, it was shocking to me. I was at a Democratic function and a county employee came up to me and pulled me to the side. And I thought, I said, oh my, here we go.
Another gracious asked for me to back away. But she said, look into this, pull this regarding El-Sayed’s tenure at the county. And I said, why? She said, just look, just do it.
And so I did. I FOIA his tenure while he was there. And this is Robert Davis, political hitman.
He knows all things legal. And Jason Rowe, another political hitman. He knows all things about getting people elected.
But it’s very nice. He’s a dapper dresser too, man. Fuck yeah.
Look at those shoes. Raise up, you take off one of these. Look at that.
Look at the colors. It’s just luxurious. Oh, man, I don’t know about a hitman, but in the best way.
And when the records came back, surprisingly, I understood why this governmental employee pulled me to the side and asked me to search these records, because it was truly revealing about how much of a phony this El-Sayed is. Especially when him touting his record as the director of health services for Wayne County when he was absolute failure and just a figurehead making $200,000 plus a year, which was a significant raise from the individual who held the position. If I might, you can go to the enjoyer.com and read the details.
He, the year he made $279,000 is last year. The chief medical officer making the decisions. She made 235,000 significant difference.
Oh, big time. And then on top of that, he received the ultimate to cure Mullins parachute upon him resigning, which is a complete surprise to me. And then they tried to camouflage it as a payout of unused sick and vacation time in accordance with the executive benefit package, which no other executive benefit receives.
You know, when you on a salary contract with the county, once you leave, you leave. Yeah. And but thankfully, whoever documented this secret payout, which is unconstitutional and illegal, indicated that it was a retroactive pay going back to his original date of start for the contract.
And I say, here we go all over again. As you recall, I was on a to cure more. I was chief labor negotiator for ask me, which we represent all the county employees on that particular case where the judge clearly said that, Hey man, you can’t retroactively pay someone, which is unconstitutional legal.
So you got that. But in the midst of that, something very interesting was discovered in the documents that the county graciously produced before you, before you say that going through all the tape, right? We’re not even pronouncing his name correctly. I finally heard him pronounce his own name.
It’s I’ll say, I’ll say it’s important. The name’s important. And it means in Arabic, it means Lord or master.
So it’s a very royal, very pontificating name. And you know, it’s used when immigrants create a new life here. When you say create a new life, are you assinuating that that’s not his real name? That wasn’t his given name.
That wasn’t his given name. His father, when he was at Wayne state, his father came in 1979 when it was really wild in Egypt. And the peace accord between Israel and Egypt was signed by Anwar Sadat, who ends up getting assassinated.
That’s when he comes in at Wayne state. He was known as the father was known as Mohammed Mohammed. Hmm.
That’s now he’s Mohammed. Uh, I’ll say, and as far as I can tell, as far as I can tell, it’s very murky. The father changed his name when he was naturalized.
So this would be 88. Okay. Go ahead.
Well, that’s, that’s an interesting segue because you like how he did that. I love how you did that, man. I love how you did that.
Because in his County personnel file, it came across, you know, when he was filling out his paperwork, you know, to get paid, you got to fill out your declaration for your social security number to ensure that you don’t, you’re not, you are who you say you are. You never had any multiple social security numbers. And in looking at his file, he lists his name, Abdul Rahman.
Let me see. Go ahead. And a little bit down further.
It asks you, have you ever changed your name? Yes. Any checks? Yes. Okay.
So that was a red flag. And then it goes further and ask you, have you ever had more than one social security number of you? Did you report this name change to the social security administration? And he marks. Yes.
Yes. He signs a document. This is when he’s getting the great $200,000 a year job with the County as the fake director of health.
So he’s got his name here. Current information. Abdul Rahman, Mohammed.
Okay. So Abdul Rahman, Mohammed, I’ll say. So I began being the former journalist.
I said, wait a minute. Was there anything ever reported? Thank you. Ever reported on him changing his name.
So I could pronounce it correctly. Can you do it? Abdul Rahman? No. Mohammed.
I’ll say, I’ll say, I’ll say, I’ll say, I’ll say. Okay. Okay.
I would defer to you on the correct pronunciation because I think that’s important. The fact of the matter, I said, was there ever any type of reporting that he had a name change and everyone I ask who’ve been covering this race from the, when you’re talking reporting, you’re talking about journalistic reporting, journalistic report, okay. And some insiders, some political henchmen hit men, as you call them.
And they said, no, we know that he uses the abbreviation of his first name. I said, no, I’m not talking about him saying his first name is Abdul rather than his full first name. You know, he, he not talking about that.
I’m saying, has he reported that what his true birth name, his true birth surname was nervous and Noah’s was his last name. I would say, okay. And I said, no, it’s, it’s something more to this because he would not indicate on employment paperwork that he has changed, legally changed his name.
So I began to dig a little further and then boom, my great friend here says, yeah, it was, it was a story written a few at the onset, at the, by Anna Hoffman appearing in the Michigan enjoyer. And I said, that’s scrappy little news outlet. Yes.
We reported the name change. Yeah. And I said, send it to me.
He sent it to me and I’m reading it. And I’m, as I’m reading it further, you know, my legal training begins to go into all time high. And I said, oh, wait a minute.
Let’s get the order from the court that he supposedly had the name change. That was a very interesting struggle because here we have to go all the way to Boone County, Missouri, in which their system, because this was a tag case, makes you give your DNA, your blood type, your ID picture and everything in order to get this case file. And this nice young lady was very gracious.
He said, man, who is this guy? Cause we’ve gotten 50 requests for this record all of a sudden. And I said, I looked his name up and I say, oh, now I understand why everybody wants to use a public figure. He’s running for.
I said, yeah. And I said, do me a favor. Can you please tell me what his birth name was? And when she told me, I said, is it else? I, she said, no, is that’s not his birth name.
His birth name as it turns was Abdul Rahman Mohammed. Exactly. Mohammed the surname.
Yes. Mohammed is his birth son of Mohammed Mohammed. And so I said, is there any way that you can expedite this? I can’t wait seven to 10 business days because there’s going to be a court case as it relates to his eligibility to have any votes cash for, because El-Sayed is not his real name.
Well, even though he legally changed it, his father changed it for him when he was six. Okay. Be politically correct.
In 1992, 1991, 1992, here it is. Hot off the presses. Let’s see.
Okay. So let’s see here. 19 did you read it out loud for your, it was, it was dated four one 92.
Okay. Judgment in the circuit court of Boone County, Missouri in the matter of Abdul Rahman Mohammed by his next friend, legal term, apparent Mohammed El-Sayed judgment. Now at this day comes petitioner Abdul Rahman Mohammed and by through his next friend, Mohammed El-Sayed and by his attorney and submits to the court, his petition filed here in, which is duly verified by affidavit, praying for a change.
According to law of said petitioner’s name from Abdul Rahman Mohammed to Abdul Rahman Mohammed El-Sayed. And during the consideration, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, boom. Let me ask you sure is his last name.
I’ll say, or Mohammed, I’ll say his last name is Mohammed El-Sayed. Well, how do we know? It doesn’t say either way. It just says the name.
No, that’s one. One thing that I love about you, Charlie, is that you always play the devil advocate. And, but one thing I love about this particular court order is clear as day.
And one thing about this court order, it gives you what his birth surname was and what he’s changing his name to, or what his father was petitioning for him to change his name to. And so one of the things in which you have to ask yourself, why was he positioning himself to say Mohammed is just my middle name? When in fact, it’s your birth surname. If we’ve had situations where many kids, well, how do we know that’s what the order says? Yeah, but it just lists three names.
It lists his birth surname and he added his paternal new paternal last name. So you’re what happens all the time. You’re contending.
It’s like Ocasio-Cortez. It’s all one last name. It is, but, and what he’s playing it and he’s playing the voters of the state, which is, I hate is be authentic and real about who you are.
There’s a reason why he didn’t want to tell the voters of the state of Michigan that his birth surname, last name was Mohammed. And now he wants to play as if, Oh no, that’s my middle name. Well, isn’t he legally entitled to do that? Well, not tech.
Well, he legally entitled to do that. If you are very explicit about the chain. So for instance, a judge in Wayne County circuit court, there’s a case on this, by the way, of course, Nicholas, John Bowback Hathaway, a fake Hathaway, by the way, he changed his last name to his wife’s name because he was too insecure in his own birth name to get elected judge of Wayne County.
So he added his wife’s last name right before the election to four years ago in 2022, in order to run as a Hathaway. Well, we jumped in and challenged cause he tried to do it during COVID and lost. And this fake guy wanted to try to drop his birth.
Surname Bowback and only be recognized as a Hathaway at fake Hathaway. And so the court said, no, look at the order. We authorize you to add your wife’s last name to your birth surname.
You don’t get to drop and choose which last name you want to use for political purposes, which is precisely what is occurring here. If Abdul wanted to be explicit and say, oh, I want to change my birth surname, last name from Mohammed to make it my middle name. He would have to repetition the court, which by the way, he did get a copy of the court file prior to filing to run for office of the U S Senate.
And what’s so funny about this, the name he uses was not El Saeed. It was his birth surname, Mohammed. Let me explain it.
So get the court file. It’s in, it’s in the court listing of actions in this case. So until two weeks after he filed to become a candidate, there was only two entries in the court docket, which was the petition to do it and the judgment.
And then all these many years later, somebody comes to get the case. And the person that got the case said, my name is Abdul Rahman Mohammed. No Elsa.
No, I’ll say, interesting. And then everybody else, all these hit men looking into them, their names aren’t in it because they’re not a party to the case. But what the entry show, because they have to list it, is that a non-party requested the court file.
So now, and a part of that link, what they provide you, they make you fill out a record request form. So you can see who the person was, the non-party that requested the court file. And so now I’m a part of that too, because they make you provide a copy of your driver’s license and provide a picture of yourself holding your driver’s license.
I guess people have been faking that there are other people requesting the court file, but it was quite hilarious because I asked the court clerk, I said, why do we have to go through all of this to get this particular court file? I said, explain to me who this Abdul Rahman Muhammad that requested the file that you guys have listed. She said, well, that’s the petitioner who requested the court file. And so we have to list his name whenever anybody, except if you’re a non-party, we just list that a non-party requested the court file.
So for that docket entry, it showed Abdul Rahman Muhammad requested the entire court file prior to him filing to run for office. Now maybe they just use that as that was the original name in the party, but it seems weird to me because the court has officially recognized them. Right.
With his new name changed as Abdul Rahman Muhammad El-Sayed. So there’s that, we got it. So now here’s what I’m asking.
One, you’re filing a case on this, aren’t you? Well, I mean, that’s one of the reasons why, I mean, this is, this is very important because there’s a provision. Are you filing a case on this? Hell yes. And then I’ll go to the second one, which is, well, it’s important.
If your last name is really Muhammad El-Sayed, then you’re not eligible for office because that affidavit of identity, the ballots are incorrect. So it’s of high importance. Number two, as the public, you want to be one of a hundred, right? You want to be a Senator.
This is of high public interest and we should have answers from the man. Ask yourself, we don’t even know how to pronounce your name. Let’s start with that.
Like Dugan, half of Detroit still thinks Dugan is Dugan. You know what I mean? Like, who are we voting for? Well, that’s the, that’s the problem is that you have to ask this candidate, why would you lie both on your affidavit of identity attesting to the possibly McCord’s going to have to decide why, if it’s his middle name or like you said, I like, wait, listen, I like how you already stated. There’s some case law with this Bowback Hathaway dude.
Did you prevail on the Hathaway and disqualify? We didn’t because it was, you have to read this very interesting case because the judges of this town did not want to get rid of or disqualify. Cause I lumped them in with three other incumbents. They didn’t want to disqualify their peers, their peers, but they made it very clear what the issue was and that he was improperly listed on the ballot as just the Hathaway.
And I said, that’s fine. I understand, but this is setting up for the future. And they tried to say, Oh no, the case was filed too late.
You, you filed it one week too late. So that procedural thing. Yeah.
It was all off. I mean, it was, it was so a political hack job by the judiciary to protect their peers that in the same instance, they also established case law for the future. How is this different than a woman who marries somebody and takes their husband’s last name? There’s no different.
And that’s why I was explaining to you drop, but you drop your name, those who here’s the, here’s the stickler. And it’s a provision within Michigan electoral law. There’s a provision 168.5 60 B subsection two.
I love that provision. I read it many times this week and I’m on the phone. Wait a minute.
Wait a minute, man. Three, bro. Because many election officials ignore it.
And many political observers ignore it because for decades you have had situations where people have used the name game switch, as you know, and you take a situation where a woman got married. Well, if they’re recognized in their name change with both their maiden name and their married name, they have to use both. Now, is this also in government documents? Because my wife added my name, but she didn’t hyphenate it.
She doesn’t use both names. She just made that a second middle name. And in all government documents, it’s just row, not Randall row.
And you can legally do that. So you have to be careful on how you do it. So for instance, let’s take the Bowback Hathaway example.
The court approved his name change with being recognized as Bowback Hathaway, not as Bowback as a middle name. He kept his, his birth, middle names, all of them. He kept some of his masculinity, some of it, some of it.
I don’t even know if he kept some of it. But, but he kept his birth name in its entirety. He just added Hathaway as his last name.
And the court order recognized that because he could have easily said, no, I won’t go back now to be my middle name. You can do that. But it has to be explicitly stated such in the court record.
And so why are you fucking talking to me? I’m not trying to move the trains here. So it’s interesting because Abdul did not have a middle name. He did not have a middle name, right? Rahman Rahman is one word.
Wow. That’s his first name. I’ll say it is one word.
Okay. So when you were Abdul Rahman Mohammed, and then you added a suffix and look like maybe you have asked for a middle name. Now, just as in the Hathaway case, sure.
Is the court not going to bend over backwards to not disqualify him? Well, I mean, here’s the thing. At this stage of the game, I’ve been through tens, dozens of cases like this. I think it’s more important for the voters to ask this candidate.
Who the hell are you? Why are you ashamed of the name you were born with? Or are you is a better question? Not why are you, are you? Oh, are you that, you know, tell us about it. Well, now we have a legal issue. Okay.
Now you have to, you’re going to get a movie out of here because you got to get to Lansing. Yes. You’re in court.
Another election issue. Let me in court of appeals. Does it have to do with Benson, Savage or Gilchrist? Uh, the first Benson.
Yes. Because that didn’t get, I’m glad we’re updating. It didn’t get booted.
It didn’t get booted. What the court of claims said to him was, uh, you didn’t exhaust all your. Administrative remedies.
So to just try to run out the clock and that’s what they always try to do when you’re right on the merits and they have no arguments on the merits. And it was quite laughable to see her on TV last night during the debate saying, talking about transparency and she’s the least transparent public official known to man. But at the end of the day, what most people fail to realize that there’s a post election remedy called core warrantor.
So you could go through this whole exercise. Oh, I’m on the ballot. Nothing can happen to me.
Exercise being the election. You’re right. Exercise being the election.
You could be elected and then still get booted and sworn in and sworn in. I mean, there, I have three published cases where I’ve removed public officials who I’ve tried to get removed prior to being elected, getting them booted off the ballot after they took off after they took off. Wow.
You did? Yeah. Wow. I will be a lot of luck in Lansing.
You don’t want this guy’s number. He just became one of my favorite Democrats. And most people don’t know about the procedural move.
And so I just, I just smile and nod my head and be quiet and say, let’s just preserve the record. And if you’re successful, I can’t wait until I could drop the hammer. Once you say, yeah, I won.
And then now you didn’t. And so, uh, no, How long did that process take to remove? Were they sworn in and you got them removed? They were sworn in. It was a couple of months after the election.
So what I did, uh, I moved swiftly and I tried to do that with the judges too, but they tried, I mean, they pulled every favor in the book to save these judges. It’s unbelievable. So I learned from that experience.
Don’t wait the day after the election filing. Now, before you go, I just, I just want to say this to the audience. Okay.
Where’s the balance? I’m like, I already did. Mike Rogers went and slot. Can I, you know, you know, I hear it.
Okay. Yes. Um, it’s deep state.
Mike, you are the chairman of the intelligence committee, uh, during the rise of ISIS and the pull out of the troops that, that was you do. This is already published by me. So you’re, you’re deep state, Mike.
That’s what I call them. Yes. Yes.
You’re a pet of big pharma. We want to get a, a hold on the, uh, opioid crisis and he’s not voting to regulate the industry. And yes, he lived in a mansion in Florida and then was staying with his brother was registered to vote at his house.
That wasn’t finished. How’d he get all that? And then I talked to him about that. I’ve been through a few of these about where do you actually live?
It was okay that he was registered to a half-finished house. You know why? Because a homeless guy can register to vote and say, where’s your address? Street corner. Oh yeah, street corner next to the dumpster over here.
So it’s so murky. So I did that. But I don’t know anything about Al Saeed.
Well, I do. I know about his time here, but I don’t know anything about him as a person. Well, I’m not calling him that.
I’m calling him Mr. Muhammad. That’s his birth name. He changed.
He acknowledges. His father changed it. Well, his father changed it.
He’s well aware of the name change. Obviously, he’s aware of the name change. He puts it on his application for Wayne County, acknowledging that he had a name change.
And so if you acknowledge on employment, for employment purposes, that you changed your name, why can’t you inform the electorate that you’re fooling out here that, hey, my birth name was Muhammad. Why are you ashamed? Are you ashamed of Muhammad? On this declaration from the county, Social Security card name and number, he states his middle name’s Muhammad. So maybe his middle name’s Muhammad, bro.
Well, I go by the saying is that courts speak through their written orders. I learned that from Chief Justice Robert Young a long time ago. And I thank God that my mother invested in me reading and comprehension and I could read.
And that court order is quite clear that this candidate’s name at birth was Abdul Rahman Muhammad. And all he did was simply, which is which is traditional and regular now in these days, where he took on his paternal last name in addition to his birth name, birth surname. You have two last names.
Don’t try to play the electorate to say, oh, no, Muhammad is my middle name. And I’m saying, why are you don’t have to play that game? On his affidavit of identity, he lists Muhammad as a middle name. OK, and there’s no legal order stating that that is your middle name.
No, the legal order says your birth name is Muhammad. You kept your birth name and you added your paternal last name. That was changed.
And it’s amazing to me in the 1992 right here that it didn’t have cells like this first name, middle name, last name. It’s it’s amazing to me that this it just they just run on. You know what I mean? Sure.
I don’t know. OK. I mean, it runs on.
But I I in any court, they say, let me look at the plain language of an order. I mean, if you have every I’ve got to go. You know, I have to go.
But this is very important. And I hope you go knock on his door in Ann Arbor or meet him at one of these functions and say, Mr. Muhammad, why haven’t you been up front with the voters of the state of Michigan and be honest to say my birth surname? OK, OK. But you could give the man some dignity here.
Like you don’t call him Mr. Muhammad. At the very least, you call him Mr. Muhammad. I’ll say I I concur.
I concur. We’ll be back after this. American Coney Island is so good.
Even Al Walker from The Today Show is here. Not like that other guy, Al Joker, who eats at Lafayette. So make sure you are Roker and not Joker.
American Coney Island. Now, Michigan drivers pay the highest car insurance rates in the country. That didn’t come up in the debate last night.
Why does the system price people on everything but their driving record? Why do they do it on your credit score? Did you know this? Detroit’s just getting killed. You’ve been driving on these shit roads your whole life. You should be charged by your insurance company for how well you drive, not what your credit score is.
That’s why so many people drive around without insurance. And it’s way too fucking high. So drivers who switch to kerosene in average savings of over 40%, go to cure.com, C-U-R-E.com, and see what your driving is actually worth.
Cure.com. Okay. Is there another way to spell cure? You never know. You never know.
You know. I’d say, okay. Now speaking about say, you know, what’s interesting to me.
If you are actually listening and this motherfucker is always on his cell phone over there. He’s killing me. You’re killing me.
Well, the worst part is he’s playing a fucking game. He’s not even when I’m over there. I’m working.
He is playing like candy crush. He’s playing. He’s playing.
He’s playing with me, man. I like being played with. Thank you.
Put it down. There you go. Here’s what I noticed.
You close your eyes and you change the accent. I’ll say stole Donald Trump’s 2024 platform. Now do we have the latest? I’ll say commercial.
Yeah, we do. You ready? Want to play it? Yeah. Okay.
In the long run, NAFTA is going to be good for America. Lies like this from guys in empty suits. We pay the price for their broken promises.
Promises that left us with closed factories, towns hollowed by their excuses. I’m running to change who Washington works for. Bring good jobs back home.
No more bad trade deals. No dumb terrorists. Stop the wars.
Invest here. Build things in Michigan again. No more empty promises.
No more empty suits. I’m Abdul El-Sayed and I approve this message. Michigan first, Michigan always.
Okay. Can you roll that back to his list? All right. So he says one, no bad trade deals to end dumb tariffs.
Three, stop the wars for invest here. Five build things in Michigan. Now let’s, we got a little montage of Trump in 2024.
Let’s, let’s hear it. We will never ever sign bad trade deals. No tariffs, no barriers.
That would, that’s the way it should be. We are ending the era of endless wars. In return, we’re asking our businesses to invest in America, but only if you make your product here in America and hire American workers.
I say build the plant in Detroit, build the plant up here, build it in the state of Michigan. Isn’t that amazing? Almost verbatim. It’s almost verbatim.
I mean, Trump got the right idea and now the Democrats grab it. Let’s go back to his list and let’s explain if you, okay. So no bad trade deals.
Okay. We all think they have to shit and dumb tariffs. That’s what Sayed saying.
But what Trump was saying is end dumb tariffs from Canada, with Europe, with, they’re applying to us. Yes. So equal, we want equal, right? So if you go to zero, we go to zero.
If you go to 50, we go to 50. That’s the only way to get this shit done. Right.
Okay. Stop the wars. Okay.
Interesting. Interesting. Endless wars.
I don’t know what to think about Iran, but I do know gas has gone down about 70 cents in the last week. Well, the flow out of the region is at pre-war levels. Problem is so many refineries were destroyed by the Iranians and the proxies in the region that we’re not able to get the gas into our, or the oil into the gas and into our tanks.
And those refineries are mainly diesel refineries, right? So, but our cars don’t run on diesel. Our trucks do. Having said that invest here and people are investing here.
Yes. People are like the desired effect of the Trump tariff policy, which was to reshore jobs that have been shipped overseas during the era of NAFTA and USMCA. That is happening.
It doesn’t happen overnight. I mean, that is huge investments that have to be made in order to stand up manufacturing facilities here. But you see the automakers that are moving stuff that was happening in Mexico and even Canada back to the United States.
That steel plant, that’s an Indian steel plant, isn’t it? But it’s going to be built here. So we’re in the international community, you know, international investment and whatnot, but okay, listen, if you want to avoid tariffs that we’re putting on you and you want access to our market, then build it here and give us the jobs. Fair trade to me, I would think.
Okay. And build things in Michigan, right? So that’s kind of funny to me. I just thought that was, that was funny.
I think there’s a lot about his candidacy that he’s trying to steal from Trump. I think, you know, part of what he’s doing is trying to suggest that there is bipartisan agreement on a certain agenda. But I don’t think that the people on the left realize that he is co-opting Trumpism and he might be Trumpier than Rogers.
And Rogers, you were just telling me during the break, just came out, he’s saying, yeah, and the trade war with Canada. And you know, part of it is the affordability issue in Michigan is different than it is for other states because we’re dealing with the gas prices, which drive up the cost of everything, particularly the diesel prices. But then we have the added pressure on quote affordability in Michigan because of our economic relationship with Canada.
Well, I’m not really quite so sure about that. You know, we’re a pass through. That’s, you know what I’m saying? But there’s other, I mean, there’s, I mean, this is a small thing and I was with you.
We remember we were on a bar on the east side and they talked about how business has gone down because of all these Canadians that used to come here. The two way, the two way in. That may be true.
Some tourism, but for instance, Trump just banned Canadian beer from coming in, which is a direct response to the provinces of Canada banning American beer. They ban beer or bourbon and wine. I believe all of them, right? Spirits and beer.
I think it was just bourbon and wine. I thought they were targeting us because it was so unique to us. Those Canadians like their beer.
They sure do. So it was bourbon and wine. Okay.
So nationally speaking, like Benson was talking this last night. It’s was silly for, I’m just going to go on my list here. Drug prices are going up.
We’re going to stop. No, no, no. We just got most favored nation status with the pharmaceutical companies.
We would subsidize the rest of the world. We paid the highest rates when we developed everything. It’s not fully implemented yet, dragging the feet politics, but pharmaceutical prices dropped over 3% last year, which is the biggest drop since before I was born.
Trump is not getting credit for the price of prescription drugs. It’s gone down over 3%. Again, I’m 60.
The last time we saw that was before I was born. That’s a fact. Now, tariffs.
Tariffs, according to the Yale Budget Institute and the Tax Foundation, tariffs cost Americans about a thousand dollars a year. Okay. It’s a tax.
It’s not inflation. It’s a tax. At the same time, real wages for the median household since Trump’s been in office have gone up 1.5%. That means add in inflation and add in the tariffs.
And over the last two years, you’ve actually made $1,400 because again, lawyers running for office and they only think about economics. There’s the price of goods and there’s a price of your labor. And if the price of your labor goes up and it outpaces the price of the goods, it’s good for you.
We gotten smoked. It’s time to understand what tariffs are. Did you see the debate last night? Most of it.
Yeah. I saw it like the last 20 minutes. I was barbecuing while it was on, so I was in and out.
A lot of talking points. There’s just one I want to touch on. The moderator, I can’t believe this guy.
Okay. We’ve been hit by a lot of natural disasters. What are we doing to prepare for the future? Now, John James, I don’t know what he said.
And Jocelyn Benson, investing clean energy, you know, the green new scam. The reason your power bill went up, folks, we did this before. Remember? Because by what? 2040, it has to be 100% neutral, which means we’re building windmills that are inefficient, solar panels that are carbon negative, what it takes to build these things.
No. The reason we get smoked here is because of infrastructure. We didn’t keep the dams up.
We don’t put in new utility poles and lines, right? The sewers back up, the pipes explode. It puts you this way. In the last few years, the greatest recipients of federal disaster relief, top four states.
I forget what order the first three are. It’s got to be California one. That’s interesting.
It’s Texas, I believe. Texas, I would have said them too. Hurricanes.
Yeah. And then Hawaii, Florida. Florida.
Hurricanes. Then Michigan, Louisiana. Oh yeah.
Hurricanes in California, wildfires, earthquake. Nope. Number four is Michigan.
Wow. We don’t have hurricanes and we don’t have wildfires. We don’t have oceans, you know, tsunamis drowning.
Why? We have wind, huh? Wind. What is it from the ice storm? Fucking Oklahoma got wind, dude. I know, I’m totally joking.
Uh, Tennessee got ice storms. Yeah, but we had what, two years ago? That pretty nasty, uh- Yeah, but that’s common. Right.
In the North. You know what I mean? That one was pretty extreme. Yes, no doubt.
We have tornadoes, but we don’t have them like Texas. So what we do is we claim natural disasters to get this money. But what’s really happening is our infrastructure is failing.
That’s why Detroit floods. Not because it was the reign of the century. We’re just playing in Washington.
Give us the money. It was the storm of the century. We have a storm of the century every two years in Detroit.
But nobody, if you’re going to be governor, you’re like, the water department is fucking corrupt. That’s where Kwame went to prison. DTE is corrupt.
Consumers is corrupt. Fix the fucking shit we pay for. That’s what you can do as governor.
It’s not sexy for the politicians when they’re running. And it’s not something that they do. But you know what? At least we’re giving free school lunches to kids in Birmingham and Bloomfield Hills.
Don’t forget this. Here’s a great infrastructure idea from Jocelyn Benson. High-speed rail.
Oh, Jesus. Yeah. How did that not come up last night? If I was on the stage, I’m like, in this dope, I’m talking about the water system, the power system, the dams.
And this dope is talking about high-speed trains. This is what you’re going to get. We’re going to get more of the same.
High-speed. She talked about putting wood bills in Lake Michigan. This is the last state that would embrace high-speed rail.
We make cars. Are you kidding me? And when you look at California and the train to nowhere, it’s been, what, 20 years and how many billions of dollars, and they haven’t laid one mile of track. They built the transcontinental railroad in four years using Chinese and Irish labor.
In the mid-19th century, it took four years to build two rail lines. And over the mountains. Through mountains.
They blew out mountains. Four years with primitive engineering. And California, the technological leader of the world, with billions of dollars and 15 years now into this, hasn’t laid one mile of track.
But Benson decided this was a great idea for the state of Michigan. Don’t California my Michigan. Okay.
Here’s another one. You want to know who else sucks? Chris Illich sucks. Told you.
Play it. There’s nobody there, but you can hear the mad ones. Yeah.
I told you people. He’s a bad dude. He’s bad for the public’s business.
Now, finally, the concerned Detroit Red Wing and Tiger fans, and concerned Michigan taxpayers wrote a letter, and they’re asking Illich for a press conference with sports reporters. Okay. An explanation of General Manager Steve Eiserman’s ouster.
A timetable for hiring his replacement. We don’t even have a general manager. We have an interim general manager.
An explanation of why Captain Dylan Larkin wanted to be traded, and why you have him out here being booed. I don’t know why they need a plan. Like the public needs a plan for our return to contention, because there is none.
But then they say they also want a public accounting of district Detroit’s development commitments and public funding. Wow. I know which one you’re not going to get.
The last one. So Chris Illich on his LinkedIn page. LinkedIn.
Should I read the whole statement? At least the first part. It’s a little condescending. Which part is that, dude? Oh, just that he’s a fan, too.
Okay. Let’s see. I’ll do my best, Chris Illich imitation.
Opening night in the NFL is always something special. And Friday night, as our Detroit Red Wings began a new season at Little Caesars Arena, Hockey Town showed up. No, they didn’t.
A century of hockey and more Stanley Cup wins than any other NHL team. You know what? The fucking Red Wings are the New York Yankees of fucking hockey. Have they won any titles with Illich ownership? Yeah, with his dad.
Well, with the kid, we got 10 straight seasons and no postseason. And this only happens with dedication and resilience. That Red Wing spirit is a constant through the seasons, from the coaches and the players to the arena staff, like our incredible ice crew and broadcasters.
And of course, generations of fans. I enjoyed visiting with many of them before the game and to thank them for their part in our story and continuing it forward. I like doing this voice.
I’m going to continue on. It’s a good voice. At the same time, I recognize fan frustrations.
I get it and certainly feel the same. Like our city, the Red Wings have experienced incredible triumphs and faced difficult challenges, but I’ve always met them with grit and determination. It’s that time to retire grit.
Yeah. Fucking shit. I like that thing about… I’m not done.
Hold on. I’m sorry. Hold on there.
Just like it. As the franchise begins its 101st season, I remain focused on building the championship level organization that our Red Wings family and fans deserve. What were you going to say, Mark? I just think it’s a little condescending the part where he’s like, well, I’m a fan too.
It’s like, yeah, but you’re the owner. You’re the person that can do something about it. That’s the thing.
That’s why he’s not going to do anything about it because he’s making money hand over fist. He doesn’t care. I’m glad I don’t care about hockey.
All right. Here’s the deal though. Let’s see if I do this quickly.
I told you all 10 years ago what a fucking scam this whole thing is. He doesn’t pay any taxes on that arena, right? It’s actually owned by an authority. So he rents it for a dollar.
He gets all the concessions, everything, parking, jerseys, hot dogs, you name it. We’re going to, the public purchased the bonds to pay for it. So we have to pay that back with interest.
By the time we’re done paying that back, it’s $800 million out of our pocket. That’s not lost tax revenue. What revenue stream is there to the authority? Okay.
It’s called the Downtown Development Authority. So it goes from like, Hmm. It’s like all of downtown and part of mid entertainment district.
Yeah. Entertainment district and all the businesses, all the business owners, they get their taxes go up because it’s assumed. So that’s the revenue stream to the authority is taxes on the businesses in this district.
Yeah. And probably like building owners and, but they don’t get any of the revenue from the professional team existence. No, like consider American Coney Island.
The taxes go up here and you’re subsidizing your competition. He’s selling hot dogs and pizzas. And it’s like, wow.
So the property goes off the tax rolls. The city loses the revenue generated by this increased tax goes right to him. And the neighborhoods don’t get improved.
It’s like, it’s the same with Comerica. It’s the same with Ford field. They don’t share anything back when they had to Joe.
They paid rent. I believe the property taxes, they did the upkeep and they shared revenue. And that all just went away.
So now here’s the bigger deal. Goris moved the pistons in there. Okay.
And we had to give him like $50 million plus the interest, another a hundred million dollars to outfit it for the pistons. Again, no revenue share again, right out of the people’s money. Now here’s what Goris and Illich did.
Goris has the pistons. He tore down the palace music venue, right? They created a company together. I believe it’s called three, one, three presents.
So they now have a monopoly on all the venues. Fox theater, LCA, which is, has 300 engagements a year, right? It’s full 300 days a year. Comerica pine knob and Meadowbrook.
Fox theater. I said the Fox combined. I was reading some reports like Forbes and whatnot combined.
It’s estimated they’re private companies now that the net revenue is a quarter billion dollars a year. So in eight years, these two billionaires are going to make another billion and we’re getting nothing. And we’re getting shit, football, shit, basketball, shit, hockey, shit.
Baseball, we could still be optimistic about the basketball. I know, but they didn’t do anything in the, they didn’t need to, you know, if Duran had actually showed up in the playoffs, they would have been the, they would have won the title. One fucking guy fell on his face.
They got the personnel. I don’t know why give that guy 200 million. Then what’s that? Why give him 200 million? Cause they didn’t give him the max, the super max 287.
Okay. He played great all season. He just fucking face planted in the playoffs.
That’s true. But he’s going to have to develop a shot. But guess what? Now the Sixers have beefed up and the Celtics and yeah, we’ve got competition in the East.
Went on the second round, dude. Okay. So guess which sports franchise is the most profitable? Who makes the most lines? No, no.
Remember that stadium. Yeah. They have a few events, but they only play eight games in it.
That’s true. There’s not three. There’s not a lot of concerts and stuff.
So it’s no, it’s not the lions. Uh, pistons pistons. Yeah.
Yeah. Because of this monopoly in this consortium, what’s the, what’s the LCA capacity? 20. What is that? 20, 25.
Yeah. I was going to say 26 and a Ford is what? 65. Yeah.
Yeah. Something to this effect. And tigers are probably average 18,000 fans.
I’d be per game concerts. Yeah. Yeah.
The 40, 41 games at home final flare, you know, think of all this stuff, high school football, all the concerts. Okay. Who makes the second most? Well, based on number of games, probably baseball.
No, no. Based on the red wings, the wings are the second most profitable franchise in this city. And Ellis can’t find a way to sign Simon.
By the way, I bet the valuation of the lions is more than the other three, even though two of the other three make more money. Yeah. And you know what adds to the valuation marketing? Do you have a stadium? Yeah.
Is that your stadium? So yes, it basically is their stadium, which adds 25% to the value. We got to get out of the fucking business of, uh, the public funding these stadiums. It is.
The most outrageous. They are a loser. I just told you about the tax structure.
So you can’t sign a top flight defenseman for eight and a half million dollars, which is going to be cheap. Once the salary cap goes up right in the NHL. Yep.
You didn’t lock him in. What the fuck dude? And he leaves the country and he leaves the country easy. I mean, that’s the problem.
This image dude, man. Um, back. Remember when they were shutting off water? Oh yeah.
In Detroit. They didn’t pay their water bill. Yeah.
The biggest deadbeat, um, water customer was the red wings and you can’t play hockey without frozen water. What the fuck this is what we’re dealing with. And yet you build a $2 million mausoleum for your mom and dad.
Yeah. Well, okay. Suburbanites, all you hockey fans, it matters.
Now you’re mad. He reneged on all this district Detroit stuff promised us a bunch, a whole village. Yeah.
It’s nothing but parking lots that he doesn’t share the revenue on. All right. Moving right along here.
What were we at here, Mark? Uh, 55 maybe. Okay. Um, let’s get right out of here.
Mary Sheffield coming out of her badger hole. The bicycle. And they have to be controlled.
And the chief of police always has to be there to hold her hand. But, uh, we got good news. Here’s some crime numbers.
We know that every resident in this city and every neighborhood in our city deserves to be safe. And today we are going to acknowledge the progress that we have made as it relates specifically to the summer months in public safety in Detroit. I am proud to say that the city of Detroit saw far, a far fewer, excuse me, saw a far safer summer this year compared to previous years.
All categories of major crimes, violent and nonviolent were down this summer. Except for the chick on a smoke break at Chipotle getting stabbed to death or, you know, seven mowed down at a neighborhood illegal strip joint. And of course, the crimes that have gone up 800% is the chief of police violating people’s rights, shaking them down and trying to stick fucking bogus charges on them.
Except for that. Is this the right strategy, Jason? Uh, well, I clearly trying to divert from anything other than the crimes that are happening in city hall. And you watch the media, man.
Like, okay, I don’t go to these, but you see it in politics. Why are they carrying her water? That I thought the same when I saw the coverage of this. Like we, uh, come on, it’s October and you’re holding press.
Well, in particular, you know, I watch, uh, WDIV, uh, in the mornings typically. And she’s treated no one worse than WDIV. She snubbed Jason Cole Thorpe.
She was supposed to come on Flashpoint. She pulled out during that. Um, uh, one of the reporters is the one that asked her the question, uh, about what was going on.
And she said, calm down. Um, we’ll, we’ll Jones like, and why she should not go out into public. Which our local media is not asking her about this.
She shouldn’t get to divert. It’s a huge fucking scandal. Like I’m not here to listen to your bullshit, fake crime numbers.
It’s unbelievable to me. So.
The only way anything’s going to get done, I’m going to have to do the next one. I mean, this is I told everybody where to go. Fine.
No, it’s the only investigative journalism going on in the state. I appreciate that very much, brother. And you get all right here at the No BS News Hour and enjoy your dot com.
Just a little. Don’t tell anybody. I got word that the chief of police has sat down today and he’s given his statement to investigative authorities.
Department of Justice. Oh, just let me leave it at that. Okay.
Oh, run that one down. Okay. Turn this back up.
Okay. And what about this crime? Get here. There’s not my mom in a casket.
This woman got on my mama’s dress. Hey, we everything is not my mother’s in there in there. They didn’t put the body up.
So we came earlier. They try to show us another lady. They open the case.
It’s not her. I said, where’s my mama? So where’s my mama? Not always upstairs. She upstairs.
You just told me that my cousin said, Bianca, they just told us we didn’t have her. Now she here. Where’s my mama? Roll it back again.
So this woman dies and the funeral home mistakenly cremates her. And then they dress up another corpse in the woman’s dress and wig. They get the family’s notice.
And then when they did notice it like, Oh, we got her upstairs. Oh no. Play it again.
It’s just the dude. My mama’s dress. Hey, we everything is not my mother’s in there in there.
They didn’t put the body up. So we came earlier. They try to show us another lady.
They open the case. It’s not her. This is insane, right? I heard the funeral home director had died.
He just recently had his, the guy that, you know, the main guy, he had died a couple of weeks earlier and they had just buried him right after this incident, right? According to Facebook. And I’m like, maybe he’s the one they dressed up. What clothes is he wearing? Swearing my mom’s dress in the wig poor family.
That’s fucked up. Wow. All right.
How about that crime? Imagine walking into a memorial and seeing a different body in your mom’s casket. Imagine doing it and thinking they wouldn’t notice that. And the dude’s like, that’s my mother’s wig.
All right. So next week, madam mayor, we’re coming with bicycle. We’re coming with how you was taking the bag.
Everything that you want to see out here, Marvin Walker got his hands on it. Somehow. Marvin Walker got his hands on it.
Come here, Brian. Come say something about Marvin. He about to get Marvin his flowers right now.
We all got something to say about Marvin. This brother right here. If you call him, he is going to come and he’s going to come deep.
He comes deep. You’re going to come. He comes deep.
I’m going to come deep. He is going to come and he’s going to come deep. Yeah.
See you next Wednesday.
