First came the phone calls.
Then came the cops.
Detroit activist and citizen journalist Jahdante Smith says he was repeatedly pressured over Facebook posts involving Mary Sheffield. He refused to take them down.
Then, Smith says, four officers surrounded him downtown, handcuffed him in broad daylight — while he was with his son — and seized his phone.
No charges. Plenty of questions.
Who wanted the posts gone?
Who ordered the phone taken?
And why does Smith believe the trail leads straight toward the top of Detroit City Hall?
Smith joins us to tell the story himself: the calls from Detroit’s police chief, the alleged threats, the search warrant questions, the confiscated phone — and what he says is still waiting to come out.
This isn’t just about a cellphone.
It’s about power.
And what happens when somebody refuses to shut up.
